HRA Foundation

The HRA Foundation was set up in 2007 to eradicate poverty and raise living standards for people living in the rural village of Nowder. Nowder is in the Sylhet division of Bangladesh and like much of the rest of the country is vunerable to climate change and the effects of rapid population growth. As a community capacity building project the HRA is taking a holistic approach working simultaneously on women’s empowerment, education, healthcare and vocational training.
